Battlefield Poker Full Review
Game Variety, Limits, and Traffic: B+
Battlefield offers 5 different major games: Texas Hold 'Em, Omaha,
Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, and 5 Card Stud as well as a several heads up
ring games. There is decent traffic in both the short handed and full
tables. The limits at all Prima skins are among the highest in the
Internet. No-Limit Hold'em games go up to 100/200 and the fixed limit
tables go up to 300/600. The traffic on Prima is good, having about 8000
ring game players and about 5000 tournament players at peak hours.
Software: C
The Battlefield Poker software is far from premium, but is still bearable.
The check, raise, and fold buttons are out of standard positions, but after
some time, players will get used to it. There are optional chat features
which allow the player to see all the actions of the table and dealer if
desired. The players time clock is short, causing quick gameplay. There
some issues during multitabling more than three tables in which it is
difficult to make sure active tables pop up. Overall, the software is
not the best, but it is definitely playable.
Softness of Games: A
Two words: Fish Frenzy. These ring games compare to those at Pacific
Poker. However, Battlefield Poker has a distinct advantage in that you are
allowed to multitable and that the software will no disconnect you or
close several times a session. The average pot size and the flop seen
percentage are particularly high. Many of the tables are dominated by
players who min-buy in (20xbb) and are quick to go all in. The tournaments
are also populated by very loose players which complement the overall low
grade of players at Battlefield.
Rakeback: B
The rakeback percentage here is the very highest, starting at 50%.
However, the way the rakeback is calculated makes this
number somewhat misleading. The rakeback system here and on all Prima
skins is based on contributed rake. In this system, tight players generally
receive lower rakeback totals, equivalent to as low as 35% rakeback at
non-contributed rakeback sites. conversely, very aggressive player enjoy
very high rakeback percentage vs. an equivalent in a non-contributed rake
site. Battlefield Poker and other Prima skins are among the only sites out right
now that have rakeback based on contributed rake.
Promotions: B+
Battlefield offers freerolls that range between $200 to $30,000.
There are 4 daily $1000 freerolls whose only requirement is 100 hands
raked at least $.25. There is also a Hold'em bad beat jackpot of $500 +
$50 for every day the bad beat requirement is not fulfilled. Battlefield Poker
also has a Magic-Hand bonus in which $500 is distributed across the
table of every millionth hand (occurs about once every two days).
Deposits/Withdrawals: C+
Battlefield Poker accepts deposits from VISA, MasterCard, ACH transfers,
prepaid ATM, NETeller, FirePay, Gaming Card, 900 Pay. They will pay out
back to these web wallets or send a check. Cash outs are pretty slow,
Neteller cashout times range from 1-2 days.
Support: B
Battlefield offers telephone, email, and instant chat support. The
telephone support and chat are very effective as the operators can help you
very quickly. The email support could respond quicker.
