Pokes Poker Full Review
Game Variety, Limits, and Traffic: A
Pokes Poker is a skin of Poker Room and belongs to the OnGame Network, which contains such rooms as
Eurobet and Hollywood Poker. This means that it shares the same players and
tables as Poker Room, etc. There is very good traffic at this site, as
it is normally the third busiest sites online, behing PokerStars and Party
Poker. Six games are currently offered here: Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo,
7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, and 5 Card Draw. The traffic at Pokes Poker, as in
most sites, is centered primarily in hold'em. Limits in hold'em range from
$.15/$.25 to $50/$100 in No Limit and $.15/$.25 to $500/$1000 in fixed
limit. At peak hours, OnGame has about 3000 ring game players and
13,000 tournament players.
Software: B
For players who focus their attention on one table, the software
is excellent. Pokes Poker's software runs very nicely without mishap and overall looks nice.
Detailed stats including such things as Hourly Win Rate enlighten players
to information they may not previously have known about themselves and
prove decent tools in evaluating your overall game. Its weakness
lies in the multitabling. Multitabling here is particularly
stressful as the software runs very quickly, especially on all-ins. The
check/call/raise buttons are easy to misclick and the player time clock is
shorter than at most other sites. These components make multitabling
somewhat difficult; however, the seasoned Pokes Poker player can eventually
overcome these annoyances.
Softness of Games: B+
This rating applies only for the lower stakes at Pokes Poker. At $.5/$1
and below, the games are relatively fishy, and a decent player can make a
good profit. Above these stakes, however, the room becomes a whole new
ball game. I have found these players to be extremely loose preflop and
tight postflop. This should give rise to very good profits from aggressive
play postflop but I have yet to find a good overall strategy on the
Poker Room Network. Feel free to send me a note in our Contact Us section if
you have found a solution this these games.
Promotions: A-
The deposit bonus at Pokes Poker is a good one. The bonus is
relatively slow to clear at lower stakes, but at higher stakes the bonus
clears very quickly. There are also various reload bonuses that
are easy to cash in on, some worth up to $200. The Frequent Player Points
that build up are used to clear the bonuses. These points are used to buy
into various lucrative freerolls as well as eventually be redeemed for cash
rewards. Pokes Poker offers an instant $10 after 1000 FPPs, and will offer
more money the more FPPs are turned in.
Deposits/Withdrawals: B
Pokes Poker accepts deposits from VISA, MasterCard, NETeller, FirePay,
900Pay, PrePaid ATM, MoneyBookers, Delta, Switch and Instacash. Cashouts
can be made to NETeller, FirePay, PrePaid ATM, courier check, and check.
The average NETeller cashout time is 1-2 days.
Support: C
Pokes Poker currently offers only email support, which is very decent. The average response time is less than a day.
