Ultimate Bet holds a wide variety of games, including Hold'em, Omaha,
Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, Pineapple, and Triple Draw
Lowball. The highest limits online are offered here, ranging from
$.01/$.02 to $50/$100 in NLHE and $.01/$.02 to $300/600 in LHE. The very
special thing about these tables is that they are frequented by the top
players in the world and almost always have a game running at the highest
limits. Ultimate Bet also encourages variety in game, having decent
traffic in non-hold'em games. "Kill pots" are also offered in which the
winner of two consecutive large pots is forced to post a blind twice the
size of the normal big blind. Traffic at Ultimate Bet is very good.
UB is rated in the top 4 or 5 at all times in terms of traffic. There
are about 5500 ring game players and 11,000 tournament players online at

The software at Ultimate Bet is superb. It is among the best in
the business, rivaled only by that of PokerStars and Party Poker.
Ultimate Bet added a MiniView feature which allows players who play
several tables at time to follow all the action at all the tables.
This is extremely convenient and it is hard to miss anything when all
the tables are clearly visible. Ultimate Bet offers standard notetaking
as well as excellent stats, hand histories, and a friend list, which you
can use to check if any of Phil Hellmuth or Annie Duke are playing.
Ultimate Bet also offers the ability to choose from several background
images. Another great feature of Ultimate Bet is that it can become
Mac compatible. UB is one of the few poker sites that has reached out
to Mac users and is now being rewarded.
Softness of Games: C-
By no means is playing at UB a walk in the park. The players here are
tight and aggressive, unafraid to put their chips in the pot when they know
they are ahead. The players here (including the pros!) are among the best
players on the Internet, especially at the high stakes. If any consolation
is offered here, playing at Ultimate Bet will definitely make you a better
player.

The promotions at Ultimate are about average. Other than their large
deposit bonus, bonuses at UB are nothing special. Reload bonuses are
offered four or five times a year, some worth up to $500. A point system
is also in place in which players can use these points to buy into
freerolls. 1 Ultimate Point is awarded per raked hand and 1 point is
added per hour of play at a table. A fun feature is ring games in which
only Ultimate Points are wagered and won.
